The PM1500 Bandsaw, 3HP 1Ph 230V, from Powermatic, lets you cut through all sorts of wood pieces. It features a 3hp motor that can run the blade at up to 3,100 surface feet per minute to significantly speed up your projects. This Powermatic PM1500 bandsaw has a foot brake that makes it easy to stop in an emergency. A magnetic switch protects the motor from power surges and prevents accidental start ups if the power to the unit were ever to fail. The Powermatic bandsaw's wide throat and resaw give you enough space to accommodate big pieces. A four-sided blade guard provides multi-directional protection so you can work safely.The Accu-Fence® adjusts minutely so you can cut at the angle you need. The cast iron table and trunnion design make the machine sturdy enough for regular use. This machine's 4-inch dust port ejects sawdust to keep it away from your face. The miter gauge's positive stops make it easy to set the table to the most commonly used angles. Its side plate works in both horizontal and vertical positions. At 40 inches from the floor, it's comfortable for most people to use.
